Meet Megan.

Megan Register is a pianist and dedicated educator based in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

 

Known for her expressive artistry and thoughtful teaching, Megan helps students discover and develop their unique musical voices. Her students regularly earn high honors in examinations and festivals, and often participate in performances that serve the community.​ She is an active member of the New Jersey Music Teachers National Association (NJMTA) and the Piano Teachers Forum of New Jersey (PTF). From 2003 to 2024, she was a faculty member at Westminster Conservatory of Music, where she served as Concerto Competition Coordinator and co-directed the Conservatory’s summer Piano Camp. She currently teaches through her independent studio in Hillsborough.

As a performer, Megan is active as both a soloist and collaborative pianist, bringing sensitivity and versatility to a wide range of musical settings. She is an experienced accompanist for student recitals, competitions, and exams, and frequently performs for special events such as weddings and cocktail hours. Megan also serves as a staff accompanist at the American Repertory Ballet’s Princeton Ballet School, where she works closely with both the professional company and its pre-professional Trainees.

Megan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with a pedagogy emphasis from Columbus State University, and a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College. Her principal piano teachers include Linda Dyson, Betty Anne Díaz, and Phyllis Alpert Lehrer. She studied piano pedagogy with Ingrid Clarfield, James Goldsworthy, and Phyllis Alpert Lehrer.
